Defination : Asthma is charaterized by Bronchial hyperactivity associated with inflamation in airways. Bronchial hyperactivity may occur due to stimuli like pollen grains, pollutions, dust, Ige etc.
Types of Asthma :
Extrensic | Intrensic |
---|---|
It is also called immunological asthma | it is also called non-immunological asthma |
Family history is present | Family history is absent |
Occurs due to the type-1 Hypersensitivity reactions | It occurs due cold and other enviromental factors |
👾
General mechanism
Exposer of forein particle -> Mastcells/mastocytes -> degranulations & librates leukotreins -> Binds on LT receptor -> inflamation in airways -> BronchoConstriction -> Asthma
👾
Parasympathetic mechanism
Ach release -> muscarine receptors -> M3 -> present in Bronchi -> If bind on bronchi -> causes broncho constriction -> Asthma
👾
Sympathatic mechanism
Aderanalin / nor-adeneraline release -> receptor -> present on bronchi -> causes broncho-dialation -> Inhibition of asthma
